North Stars drop a twin bill in Fort MacLeod, AB


The Havre North Stars American Legion baseball team started their first big road trip of the season in difficult fashion.

On Saturday, the North Stars went north of the border to face one of the best pitching staffs in the Northern A District, and the result was a sweep at the hands of the Fort MacLeod Royals. The North Stars dropped two games in Fort MacLeod on Saturday by scores of 7-0 and 10-2, respectively.

In game one of the twin bill the North Stars were shut out by the Royals' star hurler, who led the Northern A in strikeouts a year ago. Havre was held to two hits in the affair, as...
