Friday's Prep Basketball: Pony girls top Rangers, HHS boys fall at home

The Havre High girls basketball team picked up its first win of the young 2011-12 season by beating back the Livingston Rangers 65-39 Friday night at the HHS gymnasium. The Ponies got 13 points from Sammy Evans as they improved to 1-2 on the season.

Friday night also saw the Havre High boys lose to the Rangers, 54-43, despite a game-high 18 points from senior Ryan Brandt.

Both HHS teams are home again Saturday as thge Belgrade Panthers come to Havre. The Pony boys take the floor at 2 p.m. and the Havre girls play at 3:30.
