Glasgow man claims $60,000 Montana Cash jackpot from Havre ticket
David Larsen and his daughter, Jamie, pose after claiming a $60,000 Montana Cash jackpot.
David Larsen of Glasgow has claimed the $60,000 Montana Cash jackpot for the May 11 drawing.
The ticket was purchased at Gary and Leo's Fresh Foods, 730 1st St. Havre.
The first time Larsen played Montana Cash he was lucky and won $200. Since then, about 10 years ago, he has played regularly.
On the day he purchased his winning ticket he happened to have a dollar in his pocket and chose to buy a Montana Cash ticket with it. His choice paid off.
The night after the drawing Larsen was playing pool with friends.
One of them happened to mention the winning ticket being sold in Havre.
Larsen laughed because he is a Havre native and had his daughter check the paper. Sure enough, they had won.
"The whole weekend was a dream, " Larsen's daughter recalled.
Larsen plans on giving his two daughters "their fair share" and plans to pay bills with the rest.
