Elizabeth Blevins

Elizabeth (Beth) Blevins, 90, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, under the excellent care of Canyon Creek Memory Center in Billings, due to natural causes.

Beth was born Jan. 29, 1922, to Andrew and Elizabeth (Heck) Schaller. She married Cecil Patrick in 1940. They lived and raised their family on the farm north of Hingham, Mont. Cecil passed away Nov. 12, 1966. Beth moved into Havre in 1969. On Feb. 3, 1973, she married Lee Blevins.

Beth enjoyed sewing, traveling, interior decorating, and playing cards, especially bridge (duplicate and party). She enjoyed dancing. The polka and waltz where her favorites. She also loved her flower garden, bookkeeping and cooking. She was well known for her "Beth's Cookies. " Beth's motto for life was: "Happiness is giving of oneself. " She was a member of Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church in Hingham and St. Jude Thaddeus Church in Havre and the PCCW, the Elks, and the Eagles and was a 4-H leader.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Cecil Patrick; son, Garry Patrick; one brother, John Schaller; and one sister, Marian Schaller.

She is survived by her husband, Lee Blevins of Havre; sons, Dennis (Dee) Patrick of Seattle, Wash., Vernon (Crystle) Patrick of Durham, Calif., Keith Patrick of Redding, Calif. ; daughters, Lynnette (Ron) Wagner of Boise, Idaho, Shirley McGee of Billings; stepsons, Merritt Blevins of Havre, Merlin (Bonnie) Blevins of Havre, Leon Blevins of Missoula, Mont., and Robin (Wendy) Blevins of Columbia Falls, Mont. ; stepdaughter, Sherrill (Harlan) Schmidt of Reno, Nev. ; sisters, Magdlen Yorde of Fresno, Calif., and Dorothy Carbone of Seattle Wash. ; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements. Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at 11 a. m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, with Father Daniel Wathen officiating. Memorials in Beth's name may be made to the Havre Senior Center.
