Alice Jane Taylor, 87, passed away due to natural causes on Jan. 19, 2012, in the presence of her daughter, Glenda Taylor Osborne, in Sacramento, Calif.

Her funeral services will be held 10 a. m. Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel with Pastor Joel Skindlov officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. A fellowship luncheon will be held at the Eagles Club immediately after the graveside services.

Memorial contributions in Alice's honor may be made to the Havre Senior Center, 2 West 2nd St., Havre, MT 59501. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with the services and arrangements.

Alice was born on Aug. 15, 1924, in Baylor, Mont., to Richard Henry and Bamma Elizabeth (Hartley) Atchison. She attended schools in Glasgow where she met her future husband, C. Glen Taylor. Alice and Glen were married in 1944 and remained in Glasgow until 1957 when they moved to Whitefish.

In 1997, Alice and Glen moved to Havre to be near their oldest daughter, Marietta Taylor Grabofsky. Alice continued to live in Havre until she relocated to Sacramento in 2006 to be near her youngest daughter, Glenda.

Alice will long be remembered for her strength, dignity, immaculate attire, sense of humor and beautiful smile.

Alice is preceded in death by her husband, Glen; her daughter, Marietta; and her parents, Richard Henry and Bamma Elizabeth Atchison.

She is survived by her daughter, Glenda Osborne (Paul Slobodnjak) of Sacramento, Calif. ; her two grandchildren, Jeffrey (Heidi) Osborne of Lincoln, Calif., and Rachel Osborne of Sacramento, Calif. ; and three great-grandchildren.
