HHS finishes in the top 20 in all-sports race

Havre High school didn't win any Class A state championships this past school year, but Blue Pony teams were still consistent.

HHS finished 18th in the annual All-Sports Trophy standings at the end of the spring sports season. The school scored 35.5 points, with the highest scoring teams being the HHS wrestling team placing third at the Class A state meet in Billings and the Blue Pony football team reaching the Class A semifinals last fall.

Havre was the sixth-highest scoring Class A school.

North Star was the highest scoring Class C school from the Hi-Line with 25 points. The Knights got a Class C girls track and field state championship just two weeks ago which vaulted the school up the standings.

Chinook was also in the middle of the pack with 18.5 points. Big Sandy scored 7.5 points this school year.

Billings schools topped the list with Billings West winning the title, narrowly defeating Class A Billings Central. Billings Senior was third Class A Corvallis and Class AA Bozeman.

Rounding out the top ten were Kalispell Glacier, Missoula Loyola, Helena High, Fairfield and Malta.
