Pierson Gallineaux, who is also known by his rap name Sir Majestik, poses for a portrait Tuesday in Havre. Majestik filmed the music video to his song "Hate On Me" Monday night.
Hip hop doesn't often come to the Hi-Line, but a neighbor from the western edge of our northern plains is repping rez life in Havre.
Sir Majestik, the stage name of 27-year-old Browning rapper Pierson Gallineaux, got his three-week stay in Havre started Monday night with a music video shoot at 1st Street and 5th Avenue, in the parking lot next to Holden's Hot Wheels.
Christine Holden said Gallineaux showed up last week and asked to use the parking lot for a video shoot. When he actually showed up, "they had lights and film equipment. It became a bigger thing. "
The video is for his song "Hate On Me" from his album "Rezboi Muziq, " which is available on iTunes and can be heard at http://www.reverbnation.com/sirmajestik
Gallineaux said he is in Havre with his parents, who own a CDL instruction school that is teaching on local reservations.
While in town he hopes to share more of his music, play some shows and encourages anyone who may need the skills of an MC to contact him at http://www.facebook.com/sirmajestik.
