Havre Police Department

Officers assisted at Hill County Courthouse after a 9:09 a.m. Thursday caller reported a man acting strangely.

Officers opened an investigation while assisting with a medical call on Fourth Street at 12:03 p.m. Thursday.

--

A 12-year-old was issued a summons on a charge of underage tobacco possession or consumption after a Thursday 12:51 p.m. caller at Havre Middle School reported a juvenile with a vape device.

Child Protection Hotline made a report at 5:27 p.m. Thursday.

--

Jessica Lynn Demarrias of Havre, 34, was arrested on charges of trespass to property and resisting arrest after a First Avenue caller reported a woman who should not be there at the location Thursday at 6:26 p.m.

A disturbance was reported at 7:48 p.m. Thursday on 10th Street West and responding officers helped resolve the incident peacefully.

Officers opened an investigation while assisting with a medical call on Second Street at 7:51 p.m. Thursday.

--

A Second Avenue caller reported at 2:09 a.m. today a man who was hurting himself with a knife.

--

Officers responded during the 24-hour reporting period to three calls about nuisance dogs barking.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

A theft in Box Elder was reported at 10:35 a.m. Thursday.

Clinton Wade Lamere of Box Elder, 47, was arrested on a state District Court warrant and Tyler Roy Lawrence of Rocky Boy, 30, was arrested on a state District Court warrant and three Justice or City court warrants, all served after officers made a Thursday 12:41 p.m. transport from Rocky Boy Detention Center to Hill County Detention Center.

Deputies were asked Thursday at 12:49 p.m. to perform a welfare check on First Street Southeast in Box Elder.

A written or verbal warning was issued after a Thursday 7:01 p.m. caller reported that man, reported to have been passed out behind a Box Elder establishment at 2:49 p.m., had returned.

Martin Edward Leland of Gildford, 42, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant after a 7:20 p.m. Thursday call to 911 with the sounds of a disturbance, possibly with violence, in the background.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical technicians responded to nine calls Thursday and two calls early this morning.

Havre Animal Shelter

The animal shelter list was not available this morning, but Wednesday the shelter held two 12-week-old kittens all of unknown gender, five female cats, three male cats and a 23-week-old male kitten.

Also Wednesday, the animal shelter held eight mixed-breed puppies between 11 weeks and 7 months old, six female and one male mixed-breed dogs, and one female German shepherd-cross dog. Additionally, five 12-week-old puppies were being housed off-site.
