The Havre Blue Ponies got their first win of the 2012 Class A football season - and they did it against an old rival. On Friday night, the Pony offense put up big numbers in a 40-26 win over the Sidney Eagles at Blue Pony Stadium.

The Ponies took a 6-0 lead in the first quarter on a Thurman Holdsclaw touchdown run, one of four TD's for the senior on the night. But HHS trailed the Eagles 19-18 at halftime, beforeoutscoring them 22-8 the rest of the way.
