Girls softball tournaments get underway

 


The Havre Girls Fastpitch Softball Association will holds its annual city A-League and B-League tournaments all this week.

The action gets underway tonight and runs through Thursday night at the Sixth Avenue Memorial Field in Havre.

The B-League tournament features five teams, Lions, Barkus Home Center, Shine Electric, Chinook and NorthWestern Energy. There are two first-round games tonight, at 5:30 and 7 p.m. There are also B-League games slated for Tuesday at 5:30 and 7 p.m., Wednesday night at 5:30 and Thursday at 5:30. The B-League title game is set for Thursday at 7 p.m. and a challenge game is scheduled for Friday at 5:30 if needed.

The A-League tournament features Master Sports, J.M. Donovan and Wagner Plumbing. The tourney begins tonight at 8:30 p.m., with games also slated for Tuesday and Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. The championship game is set for Thursday at 8:30 p.m. with a challenge game scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m. if needed.


All of the action in both tournaments will take place this week at the Sixth Avenue Memorial Field in Havre.
