Changes to local track meets

A pair of local track meets have been cancelled or changed due to poor weather.

On Monday, North Star High School was slated to host the annual Groseclose Memorial Track Meet in Rudyard, but that meet was postponed due to high winds along the Hi-Line.

The annual meet, run on North Star's historic dirt track, has not been re-scheduled as of press time.

Many area athletes were also slated to attend the Northcentral Top 10 Meet today in Glasgow. However, with the forecast looking bleak for today, that meet has been pushed to Wednesday.

The annual Top 10 Meet features includes top athletes from Havre High, as well as Chinook and many other area schools, mostly east of Havre.

The Blue Ponies are in the midst of a busy portion of their schedule, which took them from Malta to Whitefish and then to Glasgow tomorrow.

Havre High is scheduled to wrap up the portion of that schedule with its annual triangular meet with Lewistown and Malta on Saturday at the Havre Middle School Track.

As of press time, the annual Top 8 Meet hosted by Cascade in Great Falls, scheduled for this afternoon, hadn't been postponed.

The Top 10 Meet in Glasgow will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m.
