Havre Police Department

A 21-year-old Havre man in the 24/7 Sobriety Program was arrested for criminal contempt at the police station 8 a.m. Friday.

At 10:58 a.m. Friday officers at the police station assisted a man with a custody issue.

Officers investigated a report made at the police station at 11:49 a.m. Friday of a stolen handicap placard.

After a receiving a request for assistance from an area youth program Friday at 12:24 p.m., officers performed a welfare check and issued summonses to a 20-year-old Havre man for minor in possession and a 34-year-old Havre woman for endangering the welfare of children.

Officers investigated a report made from 3rd Street Friday at 1:28 of a vehicle stolen the previous Saturday.

Friday at 11:53 p.m. at Northern Montana Hospital, officers investigated a report of a boy being assaulted.

A caller at a 1st Street West establishment reported Saturday at 1:55 p.m. a woman violating conditions of release and responding officers arrested a 53-year-old Havre woman for criminal contempt.

After a report of a woman screaming and pounding on the door of a Boulevard Avenue residence and then driving away Saturday at 11:53 p.m., officers issued a summons to a 33-year-old Havre woman for false reports to law enforcement.

A caller at a 1st Street business reported a trespasser Sunday at 2:23 p.m. and officers arrested a 35-year-old Box Elder woman on a Justice or City court warrant.

An officer investigating a juvenile status offense at a 4th Street park Sunday at 11:38 p.m. issued a summons, but no further details were provided.

At 1:36 a.m. today a caller at a 1st Street business reported a "beer boogie," and responding officers arrested an 18-year-old Box Elder man on a Justice or City court warrant and charges of obstructing a peace officer or other public servant, MIP, theft by shoplifting and endangering the welfare of children and a 19-year-old Box Elder woman for MIP, endangering the welfare of children and theft. Officers also issued summonses to two 17-year-old Box Elder boys, one for MIP, theft and juvenile curfew violations, the other for MIP, juvenile curfew violations, obstructing and theft.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

After receiving a report Friday at 9:40 a.m. of a dog bite that happened at Fresno Reservoir Thursday, deputies issued a summons to a 51-year-old Havre man for vicious dog, county.

Deputies were called to Rocky Boy Court at 10:31 a.m. Friday to take a man to Hill County Detention Center, and deputies arrested the 20-year-old Rocky Boy man on a state District Court warrant.

Deputies investigated a report made Friday at 12:07 p.m. that a man destroyed property at a 5th Street North residence.

Deputies investigated a report made Friday at 2:02 p.m. of vandalism at a U.S. Highway 2 West location.

After deputies received a report of shoplifting at a U.S. Highway 2 Northwest business Saturday at 3:01 p.m., deputies arrested a 49-year-old Rocky Boy woman on three counts of theft by shoplifting and a Justice or City court warrant.

Deputies investigated a report of theft from a U.S. Highway 2 Northwest business reported at 4:33 p.m. Saturday.

Deputies investigated a report made Saturday at 7:18 p.m. of a woman beating her child at a U.S. Highway 2 West business.

Deputies investigated a report made Sunday at 10:25 p.m. that items had been taken from a Kremlin Bay campsite.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to seven calls over the weekend and fire crews went on two fire calls Saturday.

At 4:10 a.m. NorthWestern Energy crews, called to a 3rd Street house that had lost power because of a fallen branch, reported smoke coming from the neighboring house. The fire, caused when electricity arced from the branch to the roof of the house which is vacant, caused only minor damage in the attic.

———

At 2:43 p.m. Saturday a grassfire was reported on 7th Avenue North, and fire crews contained the blaze, which is being blamed on fireworks, to one acre.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the shelter held two male black and tan cats, a male brown and black Akita-mix, a female black Labrador and a female black and tan cat.
