Havre government calls on Wild Horse extended hour

Havre City Council has once again called on the U.S. and Canadian governments to extend hours at the Port of Wild Horse.

The resolution says that extending hours would be good for area residents who are interested in traveling back and forth and would be beneficial for the economies on both sides of the border.

Mayor Tim Solomon said the resolution was the start of a push by people on both sides of the border to implement expanded hours.

He predicted that other municipalities — such as Great Falls and Medicine Hat, Alberta — councils’ would push for expanded hours.
