Vendor display space available for NARC Field Day

Havre Area Chamber of Commerce’s Agri-Business Committee is sponsoring an ag-vendor display during Northern Agricultural Research Center’s centennial Field Day, and proceeds will help area agriculture students.

For the past 17 years, the Chamber’s Ag Appreciation Banquet has hosted record crowds in one of the largest ag appreciation banquets in the state, said a press release from the committee. The purpose of the banquet is to recognize and thank the people in agriculture — both producers and those whose businesses and organizations support ag industry — for their valuable contributions to the local and state economy.

Wednesday, July 1, the Chamber’s Agri-Business Committee is partnering its Ag Appreciation Banquet with Montana State University’s Northern Agricultural Research Center 100th Anniversary Field Day. The event will include many activities of NARC’s annual Field Day, but will also include expanded activities and presentations, along with the ag banquet and a vendor exhibit area.

The joint celebration will be held at the NARC station located at Fort Assinniboine off U.S. Highway 87 south of Havre. The day’s activities will include Field Day tours, presentation of the Ag Committee’s annual advocate and deader awards, a trade show and a free barbecue featuring Montana produced foods.

Organizers said the event is expected to attract as many as 750 visitors from the area and across the state.

The proceeds from the vendor fees will go toward scholarships to MSU-Northern students working toward degrees in agriculture-related fields.

Vendors can still sign up to display their products and services by contacting the Havre Chamber Office at 265-4383.

Field Day vendor fees and space information

• $250 — Large piece of ag equipment (limit of 4 per entity)

• $250 — 2 pickups or vehicles

• $250 — 4 ATV/UTV-type units

• $250/piece — Livestock equipment (e.g. chute, bale chopper or feeder down by cattle facility)

• $250 — Booth area for company or vendor display

Space size: Approximately 40 ft. x 40 ft.

Set up time: 8 a.m. June 30 — prior to 10 a.m. July 1

Tear down: All items must be removed by noon July 2.
