Havre Babe Ruth team heads to state tourney

It’s tournament time for Havre’s All-Star baseball team, and the Havre 15U All-Star team is heading to the biggest tournament of the summer.

Starting Thursday night in Conrad, Havre will take part in the 2015 15U Babe Ruth State Tournament. Havre will play four pool play games before playing in a double-elimination bracket Sunday.

The state tournament starts for Havre with a game against Kalispell at 6 p.m. Thursday. Havre’s second game will take place at 6 p.m. Friday in Helena, while game three will be at 10 a.m. Saturday against Glendive. Havre will wrap up pool play at 5 p.m. Saturday against host Conrad.

The Havre 15U squad is composed of Brendan Garden, Brady Ophus, Kaiden Anez, Austin Delarosa, James Christensen, Jacob Irvin, Tony Antley, Gavin Mosbrucker, Tommy Brown, Noah Brown, Ethan Roberts and Kennedy McKay. The team is coached by Doug Garden and Mark Irvin.
