Havreite in Leadership Montana class of 2016

From Leadership Montana

Tracey Jette of Havre is among the 44 people selected to participate this year in Leadership Montana, a program designed to provide training to promote leadership in Montana communities.

“We are excited to welcome these accomplished individuals into our program,” said Chantel Schieffer, executive director. “Leadership Montana has a long-standing tradition of bringing together some of the state’s most accomplished leaders to help secure the future of our great state. That tradition continues with this new class.”

The class was selected for the 12th anniversary of the program, which begins in September with orientation and a retreat at Big Sky and concludes with graduation in April in Billings. Other program sites this year include Pablo, Whitefish, Livingston, Bozeman, Helena, White Sulphur Springs, Great Falls, and Glasgow.

“Leadership Montana’s graduates are truly leading Montana,” said Tom McGree, Chair of the Board. “Wherever you see a collaborative effort to strengthen Montana, chances are that Leadership Montana alumni are involved.”

The program’s first 11 sessions produced 460 graduates representing more than 50 communities across the state.  Leadership Montana alumni serve in leadership positions in businesses, education, government, healthcare, non-profit organizations, and community boards.

This year’s class includes representatives of community, business, education, healthcare, nonprofit and government from various communities around the state.
