SafetyFest MT: Billings 2015 scheduled for mid-November

Online registration open now for free workplace safety event

HELENA — The Montana Department of Labor and Industry is providing free safety training at SafetyFestMT: Billings at the Billings Hotel & Convention Center in November. 

“Anyone with an interest in safety is welcome to attend,” said Labor Commissioner, Pam Bucy. “We provide high-quality safety training at zero cost to help reduce Montana’s unacceptable workplace injury, illness and fatality rates.”

The three-day training event is set for November 16–19 at the Billings Hotel & Convention Center.

There are 70 classes to choose from with topics including:

• Trenching

• Fall Protection in Construction

• Bullying in the Workplace

• Reasonable Suspicion Training for Supervisors

• How to Incorporate a Wellness Program

• Combustible Dust

• First Aid and CPR.

Registration will close Sunday, Nov. 8, at midnight. People can register at http://www.safetyfestmt.com. All events are free to attend, but registration is required, as seats are limited.
