Gavin Spinler, North Star Football

Needing a win to keep their Class C Six-Man playoff hopes alive, North Star's Gavin Spinler helped his Knights do just that on Saturday. In Rudyard, the Knights blasted Augusta 46-0 and Spinler came up big. He scored on rushing touchdowns of 13, 21, 1 and 29 yards, and overall, he rushed for 143 yards. Spinler has been a four-year starter for the Knights, and he also is a three-year starter on the North Star basketball team.

Eve The Boy, Box Elder Volleyball

Box Elder is considered a team on the rise when it comes to Class C volleyball. And the Bears are proving that so far this season, with the help of all-around standout Eve The Boy. This past Friday, The Boy led the Bears to a big District 6C East win with her three kills and three digs against Big Sandy. While those numbers might seem modest, The Boy has led Box Elder in kills in almost every match this season.
