High-wind warning for Hi-Line

The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for the Hi-line from midnight Sunday to 6 p.m. Sunday.

The affected area includes Chester to Chinook and south as far as Great Falls.

Winds will start at midnight,, strengthen in the morning and die down in the afternoon, the weather service said in its advisory.

There will be sustained winds of 35 to 45 mph and gusts up to 65 mph, the weather service warned.

Winds will be severe enough that it may cause damage to buildings and power lines, the weather service warned.

Driving in north-south roads may become hazardous, especially if crosswinds develop.
