Havre High announces its students of the month

Lita Cammon has been chosen as Havre High's November 2015 Student of the Month. Lita is the daughter of Anthony and Jill Cammon. Her siblings include Hiram, 12, Micah, 8 , and Isaac, 4.

Lita is actively involved in Jazz Band, Hi-Liters and is the Student Congress board representative, National Honors Society secretary, swim team swim captain, and marching band division major. Outside of school she is the ward chorister for her church and enjoys swimming, reading, crafts, singing and playing music on the flute and trumpet.

Lita was nominated by Colleen Patera. She has been nominated for her work ethic in class and her willingness to contribute to her classes and help her classmates. Lita has maintained a strong GPA during very difficult classes and consistently requires her instructors to increase her workload and depth of understanding. Lita consistently has a smile on her face and is always courteous to others.

  In the future, Lita plans on serving a full-time mission for her church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, for 1½ years.

She will decide which college she will attend and her course of study after she returns from her mission.

Kayla Lodge Pole has been chosen as Havre High's November 2015 Student of the Month.

Kayla is the daughter of Jason and Elizabeth Lodge Pole and mother of Peyton, 2.

As a senior at Havre High School, Kayla is working toward early graduation and is busy working at the TownHouse Inn and taking care of her daughter. She also enjoys skiing, fishing and camping during her spare time.

Kayla was nominated by Jimmi Linn Brown due to her performance in Intro to Culinary Art with the Montana Digital Academy.

Brown praised Kayla for working diligently in class, preparing recipes at home for her course and maintaining a good work ethic. Kayla is very focused on her goals and stays on task. Mrs. Brown says "I admire Kayla's work/school ethics."    

Kayla will attend Stone Child College in the addictive counseling program and then hopes to transfer to University of Montana in Missoula in child psychology.
