Hi-Line Athletes of the Week

Nate Rismon, Havre Track

In a totally new divisional track meet, Havre High senior Nate Rismon was right at home. Rismon earned four medals at the Eastern A in Laurel last weekend, including winning the 200 meters with a time of 23.16, as well as anchoring Havre's winning 1,600-meter relay team. Rismon also finished second to teammate Mike Loftus in the 400 and was tied for third in the pole vault after leaping 12-0. Rismon, who will play football at UM-Western, will look to earn All-State honors at this weekend's Class A state meet in Bozeman.

Lauren Harshman/Cortney Gunderson, Chinook Tennis

The second time was a charm for Chinook seniors Lauren Harshman and Cortney Gunderson. Last Saturday, the duo captured the Class B-C state tennis doubles championship in Missoula by defeating teammates Sierra Swank and Hattie Niederegger in the championship match. The pair finished second at state in doubles a year ago. Thanks to its strong finish in doubles, Chinook also won its third straight B-C state championship, scoring a record 56 points in the process, and Harshman and Gunderson, were a big reason why.
