Bullock receives another endorsement

The Chippewa Cree Business Committee has endorsed Gov. Steve Bullock's bid for re-election.

Ted Whitford, vice-chair of the Committee, told Bullock during a visit to Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation Wednesday that the committee unanimously passed at an Aug. 15 meeting a resolution backing Bullock's campaign for a second term.

"Since I have been on as a council member the governor has shown and proved he has been able to work with tribes," said Dustin Whitford, a council member. "He is very cooperative, he listens and he works hard to make sure that if there are any issues we can work on together he will do it and he has proven himself time and time again."

Bullock, a Democrat is running against high-tech businessman Republican Greg Gianforte for a second term.

Tim Crowe, communications director for the governor, said that Bullock has also received the endorsements of the Assiniboine Sioux of Fort Peck, the Northern Cheyenne, and the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of the Flathead Indian Reservation.
