The Montana State University-Northern golf teams were on the course the past two days, playing in their second tournament of the fall season.

The Lights and Skylights played in the UGF Invitational Monday and Tuesday at Meadowlark Country Club in Great Falls, and the going was tough for both Northern squads.

The Lights finished the 54-hole tournament with a team total of 1,068 and in seventh place in the seven-team tourney. Rocky Mountain College was first with an 895.

Sophomore Devin Bray paced the Lights with rounds of 78-87-80, finishing in 33rd place. Freshman Jerod Boles was next for Northern with scores of 93-84-81, placing him in 41st overall. Billy Miller finished 43rd for Northern with a total of 261, while Tyler Tharp was 46th with a 304.

The Northern women placed sixth in the 36-hole event at UGF, with a team total of 794. Rocky won the women’s tournament as well, finishing with a 629 to edge Lewis-Clark State.
