Man sentenced for breaking vehicle window and hurting 9-year-old

A man who was part of an altercation in which a caller reported a gun was fired on First Street in Havre and the window of a truck was broken with a baseball bat, injuring a 9-year-old in the vehicle, will spend three years on probation.

Arnold Sisneros Jr. received a three year deferred imposition of sentence for the offense of criminal endangerment, a felony, and a six month suspended sentence for the offense of criminal mischief, a misdemeanor. District Judge Daniel Boucher also ordered Sisneros to pay an $800 public defender fee.

If Sisneros abides by all the conditions of his release he can petition to have the felony charge struck from his record after the three-year probation period.

The incident happened on the morning of Saturday, Feb. 13.

Police had responded to the 600 Block of First Street West after receiving complaints that there was a fight in the area. One caller said a gun had been fired.

Officers found no evidence that a firearm was discharged.

After officers spoke to involved parties and watched video from the nearby 4B's restaurant, Sisneros and Lacey The Boy were arrested.

Sisneros was arrested for being the man with the bat in the altercation. He broke the rear window of a pickup, causing harm to a 9-year-old who was on the other side of the window when it happened.
