Grief poem: We're lonely, Lord

We’re lonely, Lord

There’s lonely times for guys and gals, so — then — what do we DO?

Lonely happens — it’s gonna be — we’re lonely without you.

When darkness seems to cover me, it’s hard to find my way.

You’re missed, dear one, so constantly; it’s hard to face the day.

When storms do rage and thunder rolls and howling winds do blow;

We thank the Lord, who cares for us, He’s here with us, we know.

Then fluffy clouds race back and forth crossing the sky so blue,

You see the high, we see the low — you must have quite the view!

We think of you on other side, both sides of clouds you’ve seen,

We really don’t know clouds at all! Do they have special sheen?

Could be we dream of silly stuff when we are all alone.

Perhaps at night we toss and turn, maybe we snore and moan.

Another thought, laughter and joy — see humor on dark days.

God is the Light of Lighter Side as we pass through grief phase. (1)

Take a moment to call a friend, let lonely moment slide.

Just laugh out loud about event about the eggs they fried.

Joy and laughter are source of strength — at least that is a start.

In lonely times, we need a lift for our sad broken heart.

We miss you, dear, and now it’s MAY! There’s flowers everywhere!

The sky is blue and we are, too, but Spring is in the air!
