Officers arrested Rebecca Corrine Smith of Havre, 18, on charges of driving under the influence, careless driving, driving without a driver’s license, minor in possession, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia after a First Street caller reported an erratic driver Tuesday at 9 a.m.

Officers issued a summons to David James Hayward of Havre, 18, for charges of possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia after a Havre High School caller reported a drug complaint Tuesday at 10:50 a.m.

Officers investigated after a 15th Street caller reported Tuesday at 11:38 a.m. that two packages had been stolen off her porch.

Officers investigated after a caller at Havre High School reported Tuesday at 9:01 p.m. a hit and run crash.

Officers investigated after a Child and Family Service caller made a report Tuesday at 9:53 p.m.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Patricia Marie Huston of Havre, 46, was issued a summons on charges of dog running at large and vicious dog after a 73rd Avenue West caller reported Tuesday at 5:21 p.m. an animal control issue.

Deputies arrested Emory Jay LaMere of Box Elder, 39, on a Justice or City court warrant during a motor vehicle stop on U.S. Highway 87 today at midnight.

Deputies investigated suspicious activity at 2:12 a.m. related to a 2 a.m. report to the police department of two men with a shotgun who stole a wallet and cellphone on U.S. Highway 2 East in Havre and drove off in a two-door Ford Focus toward 24th Avenue East.

Emergency medical crews responded to one call Tuesday and two today.

The animal shelter held this morning four medium-haired, one long-haired and two short-haired cats.
