Frontier football is indeed like the SEC of the NAIA

The Rocky Mountain College Battlin' Bears are one of the teams predicted to have a big impact on the 2018 Frontier Conference football season. The Bears also kick off Frontier play when they host Carroll College Thursday night in Billings. The Montana State University-Northern Lights open their season Saturday afternoon against Mayville State at Blue Pony Stadium.

If there was one word that could sum up the 2017 Frontier Conference football season, bloodbath would certainly be appropriate.

There were so many good teams in the Frontier that it actually turned out to be a detriment to the league come playoff time. With everybody beating up on each other for three months, by the time November rolled around, only stalwart Southern Oregon was left standing.

Now, it's about time to start new, though, but the same question remains. Is the Frontier too good for it's own good? In other words, is it so deep, and so talented that on a national level the Front...
