Letter to the Editor - Thank you Havre community for Festival Days success

Dear Havre Daily News Editor,

Thank you to the Havre community for putting on such a great Festival Days weekend. There are so many people that put so much time and effort into the event that I am hard pressed to thank everyone and not forget someone!

We must thank the Havre Police Department, Havre Fire Department, Hill County Sheriff’s Office and the Montana Highway Patrol for the excellent work they did monitoring the parade. The Havre city crew also was very helpful with the barricades and making sure we had everything we needed!

Montana State University-Northern sponsored the parade again this year and we are appreciative. The float winners were Independence Bank as the Mayor’s Choice, HRDC as Best Non-Commercial and Crystal City Casino as Best Commercial. I also want to commend Waid Ranch for their creative float!

Thanks to all the volunteers that helped in so many ways and to all the businesses that purchased commemorative mugs and buttons. And thanks to Cape Air and Triangle Communications for the grand prizes. Thank you to all the vendors that participated in the downtown and the mall shows. Thanks to the Havre Daily News, The Havre Herald, New Media Broadcasters, KNMC Radio and KRTV for the great coverage of our event.

We can’t wait until next year to grow and expand on this event!
