Letter to the Editor - Thanks for helping Blessed to Bless NOW help people in need

Editor’s note: This version corrects the amount of the gift cards given to former Kmart employees to $75.

Editor,

We made it!

Generous people donated to Blessed to Bless NOW in excess of the matching money challenge! We want to thank the many people from the Hi-Line for their donations. We received donations from as far east and west as Fargo and Seattle, and south to Billings. Out-of-area and out-of-state mechanics, veterans, truck drivers, photographers, tour bus drivers, and bank employees gave. Retired ranchers and active ranchers gave. Local businesses gave. Area people gave. And we want to thank everyone who did so.

We were able to give the 23 former employees of Kmart each a $75 gift card from Gary & Leo’s Fresh Foods. We have given out other grants as well, but that was the big one we wanted to grant. We would not be able to bless people going through hard times if it was not for the generosity of so many.

Think of us when you hear of a struggling working family in need: We want to be there to give a hand, a blessing.

Again, a big thank you to Hill and Blaine county individuals and businesses who have generously given to the nonprofit charity Blessed to Bless NOW. May you be blessed for your kindness.
