Winter returns with a vengeance

Northern north-central Montana saw the return of winter over the weekend, closing some schools in the region, and it appears the cold and snow are here to stay.

National Weather Service reported temperatures dropping to less than minus 10 degrees fahrenheit at multiple locations in northern north-central Montana this morning, with stations near Inverness and in the Bear Paw Mountains on Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation both reporting minus 15 this morning.
