Exchange student Sergio Tomayo right at home on the HHS swim team
Havre High senior Sergio Tamayo cuts through the water during the 2018 Havre Invitational swim meet in December. Tamayo, an exchange student from Spain, has been a force on the Blue Pony swim team thus far.
It has been an exciting year for Sergio Tamayo, who came to Havre as a foreign exchange student and is now getting set to take part in the Class A state swimming meet this weekend in Bozeman. The action will get under way Friday and conclude Saturday for Tamayo and his teammates.
For Tamayo, swimming is something that he has been doing for a long time, since around the age of 12 and this season, he has gotten to show exactly what he can do in the pool for the Havre High boys swimming team, which is hoping to make some noise in the team competition at state.
