Chinook senior Isaac Bell was one of three Sugarbeeters and a record eight players from the District 9C to be named Northern C All-State for the 2018-19 season.
When it comes to local boys basketball, another exciting season went into the books this past weekend as both Chinook and Hays-Lodge Pole represented the District 9C in the Class C boys state tournament in Billings.
For Chinook, it was the Sugarbeeters' first berth at state since 1986, when they belonged in Class B. For HLP, it was the second trip in three years to the Metra, after the Thunderbirds won the Northern C championship back in 2017.
This time around, the T-Birds finished second to Chinook in the Northern C championship game and when the District 9C All-Conference teams were released...
