Havre Police Department

A First Street business caller reported Monday at 12:08 p.m. receiving checks written from a closed account. The incident was referred to another agency.


A caller on Sixth Avenue reported a fraud Monday at 12:41 p.m.


Chance Edward Williams of Havre, 28, was issued a summons Monday at 8:08 p.m. at the police station on a criminal contempt charge related to a 24/7 Sobriety Program violation.


Amy June Leo of Havre, 39, was issued a summons on a charge of "other" after a Fourth Avenue caller reported Monday at 8:11 p.m. that three aggressive dogs had run after his children.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Duke Allen McGarvey of Havre, 31, was arrested on a state District Court warrant served to him at Hill County Detention Center Monday at 11:22 a.m.


A non-injury vehicle crash reported Monday at 2:50 p.m. in Rudyard was referred to another law enforcement agency.


Callers at 8:57 and 8:59 p.m. Monday reported hearing gunshots in the Third Street North area.

Havre Fire Department

Firefighters responding to a smoke detector alarm on the 2400 Block of Fifth Avenue at 2:21 a.m. today found that an alarm was malfunctioning.


The complete dispatch log was not received by print deadline today.

Havre Animal Shelter

The Havre shelter this morning held three medium-hair cats, one long-hair cat, one short-hair cat, a medium-hair 15-week-old kitten and a medium-hair 8-month-old kitten all of unknown gender, two medium-hair male cats, one short-hair female cat and two medium-hair female cats.


The Havre shelter also held this morning three male mixed-breed 26-week-old puppies, four female mixed-breed dogs, a female shepherd-Labrador retriever dog, a female mixed-breed 15-week-old puppy, a male mixed-breed 13-week-old puppy, a male pit bull terrier dog and a male Labrador retriever-pit bull terrier 21-week-old puppy.
