Crash of stolen vehicle causes death

Driver of vehicle reported stolen killed, passenger, driver of second vehicle hospitalized

Havre Daily News/Colin Thompson Police tape marks off the area of the investigation of a two-vehicle crash in Havre this morning that led to one death and the hospitalization of two people. Montana Highway Patrol reports that Havre Police were in pursuit of a vehicle reported stolen when it crashed into another. The man driving the vehicle reported stolen was pronounced dead on the scene.

12:05 p.m. Montana Highway Patrol reports that a vehicle reported stolen crashed into another vehicle while trying to evade police, leading to the death of the driver of the vehicle reported stolen and the hospitalization of its passenger and the driver of the other vehicle in the crash.

The crash was reported at 4:09 this morning.

Highway Patrol said Havre Police were in pursuit westbound on First Street in Havre of the vehicle reported stolen when it crashed at the intersection of First Street and 14th Avenue, by The Duck Inn and Uncle Joe's, into another vehicle eastbound on First Street...
