Longhorns, Wildcats shine at state track

Winning trophies at the Class C state track meet is nothing new for the Fort Benton girls. However, this past weekend in Laurel, the boys team also got its hands on a team trophy as both Longhorn teams finished third.

Seeley-Swan finished first in the girls Class C state track meet, taking home the state championship with 90.33 points. Charlo finished second with 48 and Fort Benton, which won the state championship in 2017 and finished second in 2018, was third with 43.

In the boys meet, the team competition was much closer. Fort Benton actually led after the first day, scoring 29 points,...
