Havre High's Lane Paulson, left, is one of two Blue Pony wrestlers from the class of 2019 who will be wrestling in college this fall. Paulson signed with Montana State University-Northern back in the winter. In all, eight Blue Ponies from this year's senior class have announced that they'll be playing a college sport next school year. If we missed any local athletes from the Class of 2019 who are playing a college sport next year, please let us know.
For anyone who has ever participated in high school sports, you will know there is something special about it. It's a rare opportunity to take part in organized athletics and for most, doing it in high school is the last chance they will get.
Yet, there are those rare athletes that are talented enough to advance to the collegiate level. Along the Hi-Line, we have been blessed over the years to have been able to watch our fair share of them, and this past year was no different.
