Montana State University-Northern has listed the following local 2019 Northern graduates who are winners of its Student Excellence Award.
Teresa L. Stevenson of Rudyard, a 2004 graduate of Quartz Hill High School in Lancaster, California, earned the award at the Annual Awards Day Celebration.
Stevenson majored in agricultural operations technology and plans to start a farrow-to-finish swine operation.
Samuel W. Smith of Havre, a 2011 graduate of Glasgow High School, also earned the award. He majored in biology and plans to attend medical school.
Blaze Goldhahn also earned the award. Goldhan, who was home-schooled, majored in criminal justice and plans to begin a career in the law enforcement field.
The Student Excellence Award, the highest student honor available at Northern, represents excellence in scholarship, participation in co-curricular activities, and service to the community.
