Havre Fire Department firefighters enter the Ryan Building while responding to a call about a fire-like smell inside the building Thursday in Havre.

Employees at the Ryan Building were forced to evacuate today at about 4 p.m. after someone reported an "electrical smell" somewhere on the second floor of the building.

Havre Fire and Police Departments have the scene at 48 Second Ave. under control, and police report that there were no injuries and no actual flames.

Second Ave. is blocked off between First and Second streets, and westbound traffic on Second Street is going down to one lane near the Ryan Building.

The exact cause of the smell is not yet known, but a story with full details on today's events can be found in tomorrow's edition of the Havre Daily News.
