Havre native Meredith Hanson, who founded Tailing Loop Winery in Kalispell, opens a bottle of her company's wine Aug. 25 in Pepin Park during Havre Trails second brewfest fundraiser. The third annual Havre Trails Brewfest is scheduled for Saturday.
The third annual brewfest hosted by Havre Trails is returning Saturday from 3 to 8 p.m. in Pepin Park with 13 Montana breweries and one winery on tap along with five food trucks at the event.
The cost for an 8-ounce beer taster and two fills is $15, each additional fill costs $2, and 2-ounce wine samples will also be available.
"We needed to raise money so that we could kill two birds with one stone, meaning providing a really cool event for Havre with a fun vibe to celebrate summer and to use that money to give back to the community in some way," Havre Trails President Lindsey Bennett said.
