Harlem man killed in early morning crash near Dodson

Authorities have released the name of an 18-year-old man from the Harlem-Dodson area who was pronounced dead on the scene of a crash near Dodson Tuesday morning.

Phillips County Sheriff Jerry Lytle said Caleb Arthur Ditmar was the driver of the vehicle who died as a result of injuries sustained in the one-vehicle crash.

Montana Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred about 5 a.m. Tuesday.

The vehicle was eastbound on U.S. Highway 2 when Ditmar apparently fell asleep and the vehicle drifted off the roadway. He awoke and overcorrected, and the wheels of the vehicle dug into soft dirt, Highway...
