Havre Police Department

A caller from Northern Montana Hospital reported a combative person at the hospital Monday at 10:54 a.m.


Monday at 11:28 a.m. a person reported at the police department a possible identity theft.


A two vehicle non-injury accident was reported on Monday at 2:56 p.m. on Third Avenue.


Raymond Windyboy of Box Elder, 57, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and having an open container within city limits after a First Street West caller reported a suspicious male staggering in an alleyway Monday at 7:37 p.m.


Brandy Elaine Winchell of Havre, 40, was issued a summons on a charge of making an obscene phone call after a person at the police department requested to speak with an officer Monday at 8:44 p.m.


Duane Efrem Standingrock of Box Elder, 50, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant after an officer was investigating suspicious activity on First Street this morning at 12:07 a.m.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Tracy Nicole Todoroff of Havre, 18, was arrested on two Justice or City court warrants, one misdemeanor and one felony, at the Hill County Justice Court Monday at 8:24 a.m.


A Crowe Lane caller reported Monday at 3:02 p.m. damage to their gate.


Monday at 4:07 p.m. a U.S. Highway 2 West business reported shoplifting.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to three calls Monday and two this morning.


Firefighters responded to a fire in a bathroom of an apartment on the 1300 Block of Jefferson Avenue reported Monday at 5:44 p.m. Havre Assistant Fire Chief Nathan Courtnage said the fire was caused by a malfunction of the wiring in a ceiling fan which ignited, and the apartment building had to be evacuated. The fire department responded with 2 fire engines, one ambulance and 10 firefighters. He added that the fire was contained to the ceiling of the single bathroom and was extinguished. Personnel were on scene until 703 p.m. and the only damage was within the bathroom.

Havre Animal Shelter 

The Havre shelter this morning held six short-hair 7-week-old kittens, four medium-hair 12-week-old kittens, three medium-hair 26-week-old kittens, three medium-hair 5-week-old kittens, one medium-hair 22-week-old kitten, one long-hair 22-week-old kitten and a long-hair cat, all of unknown gender along with three medium-hair female cats and one long-hair female cat.


The shelter also held this morning a female Labrador retriever 16-week-old puppy, one female and one male mixed-breed 16-week-old puppies, one female and one male Labrador retriever dogs, a male mixed-breed dog, a female mixed-breed 9-month-old puppy, a female corgi-pit bull 7-month-old puppy, a male mixed-breed 11-month-old puppy and a male pit bull terrier 9-month-old puppy.


The shelter was also housing one 2-week-old female mixed-breed puppy and one male and two female mixed-breed 7-week-old puppies. Six 6-week-old puppies and a female mixed breed dog were being fostered off-site.
