Gatch to take over Havre High track program

Havre High football coach Ryan Gatch will now be pulling double-duty at HHS. On Monday, it was announced that, pending board approval, Gatch will be the new track and field coach at HHS, taking over for the retired John Ita.

Havre High will have a new head track and field coach next spring, but he'll have a familiar name. On Monday afternoon, new Havre High Activities Director Brian Kessler announced that Blue Pony head football coach Ryan Gatch has been recommended to be the new track and field head coach at HHS.

Longtime head coach John Ita retired from the position at the end of the 2020 school year. Ita led the Blue Ponies during two different stints, covering eight seasons.
