Havre Police Department

A caller on Main Street reported Tuesday at 8:17 a.m. he backed into another vehicle.

Andrew John Frickel of Havre, 19, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, reckless driving and driving without a driver's license after a caller on Washington Avenue reported Tuesday at 11:21 a.m. that a driver was speeding, didn't stop at stop signs and almost hit other vehicles.

Johnathen Soto of Austin, Texas, 20 was issued a summons on an animal cruelty charge after a caller at a First Street West business reported two men were beating a dog Tuesday at 12:41 p.m.

A Tuesday 3:02 p.m. caller reported a bike abandoned in an alley off Third Street.

Two arrests were made during a vehicle stop on First Street Tuesday at 5:15 p.m. No details on the charges were provided.

A caller on Second Street Northeast reported Tuesday at 6:05 p.m. that someone had kicked in the back door of a residence.

Jakob Patrick Keller of Havre, 19, was arrested on charges of possession of dangerous drugs and endangering the welfare of children after stopping at the police station Tuesday at 7:21 p.m. to speak with an officer about getting his belongings returned.

A caller on Second Street reported Tuesday at 11:15 p.m. people were in the backyard kicking things around, and asked for assistance removing them from the property.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Someone stopped at the Sheriff's Office Tuesday at 8:53 a.m. to report a theft, forgery or fraud.

Jordan James Normandy was arrested on a state District Court warrant served at Hill County Detention Center Tuesday at 11:24 a.m.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to four calls Tuesday and one this morning.

Firefighters responded to a fire alarm at a multifamily dwelling on the 10 Block of Third Street West Tuesday at 12:50 p.m. The alarm was triggered by burnt food and the crew opened some windows and reset the alarm.

Firefighters were called Tuesday at 10:51 p.m. to the 1400 Block of U.S. Highway 2 North to assist someone who was stuck in an elevator. The fire crew was able to get access to the elevator and remove the person unharmed. The elevator was shut down until it could be repaired.

Firefighters responded to a carbon monoxide alarm on the 1000 Block of Fourth Street at 12:23 a.m. today. The alarm was an automatic trigger to signal that it had reached its expiration date.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held four 8-week-old of unknown gender; six female and three male cats; and three male 11-week-old kittens.

The shelter also held a female pit bull terrier dog, a male 18-week-old Australian shepherd puppy, a female mixed-breed dog, a female pit bull terrier-English bulldog cross dog, two male mixed-breed dogs and a female German shepherd dog.
