Small fire northeast of Havre extinguished

A fire broke out about two miles northeast of Davey School yesterday afternoon.

Bear Paw Fire Chief Josh Bebee said the fire was put out some time around 3 p.m. Monday afternoon and was caused by lightning during the thunderstorms that hit the area.

He said the fire burned five acres of pastureland, but there were no injuries and no other major damage.
