Hi-Line Athletes of the Week

Kyla Momberg, Box Elder Basketball

The Box Elder Bears were back to winning trophies at the District 9C girls basketball tournament last week. And Kyla Momberg was a big reason why. Momberg scored 28 points in Box Elder's third-place win over Turner last Saturday, and in four 9C tournament games she averaged nearly 20 points and nine rebounds per game as Box Elder advanced to the Northern C. Momberg was a Class C All-State selection in 2019 before playing in Spokane last year. Momberg also played volleyball for the Bears this past fall.

Hayden Diekahns, Fort Benton Basketball

Fort Benton senior Hayden Diekhans has accomplished a lot already. Now he can add repeat 9C boys champion to his list. Diekhans scored 22 points in Fort Benton's championship game win over Chinook last Saturday night as the Longhorns won their second straight 9C boys title. Diekhans added 20 points in the semifinals Thursday night, as Fort Benton advanced to the Northern C. Diekhans, who will play basketball at Montana Tech next year, is also a standout on the football field at Fort Benton, as well.
