Fire warden warns of bad conditions for burning

Hill County Fire Warden and DES Coordinator Amanda Frickel said in a Facebook post Wednesday that weather is not ideal for burning these next couple of days.

“Need I say again we are in a drought going into the wet season. Very dangerous fire hazard,” Frickel said in the post. “Please make sure you are doing your part to keep Hill County fire-free.

Frickel also asked people, when it is safe to do so, to make sure that that their burns are being called in and to call in when they have extinguished the burn.
