Havre Police Department

A caller at a First Street West asked Thursday at 9:19 a.m. to speak with an officer about a stolen knife.

A 17-year-old was issued a summons on charges of careless driving, minor in possession, driving under the influence and failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance; Caden Isiah Plante of Havre, 18, was arrested on charges of MIP and endangering the welfare of children, and a 17-year-old was issued a summons on an MIP charge after a Thursday 10:14 a.m. caller at Eighth Avenue and 10th Street reported a gold Ford Explorer was speeding around a corner and down the street, and the occupants appeared to be drinking.

Officers assisted Have Fire Department at a medical call on Third Street Thursday at 1:55 p.m.

Leah Marie Goggles of Havre, 37, was arrested on a charge of partner or family member assault after a disturbance was reported on First Street Northeast at 3:08 a.m. today.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Clay Slone Chandler of Billings, 25, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant served at 8:57 a.m. at Hill County Detention Center.

Bill Louis Morsette of Box Elder, 30, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant; Leteaya Rose Murie of Box Elder, 22, was arrested on a shoplifting charge and on four Justice or City court warrants; and Shanelle Marie Saddler of Box Elder, 27, was arrested on a shoplifting charge and on two Justice or City court warrants after a caller at a U.S. Highway 2 West business reported a theft, forgery or fraud Thursday at 7:31 p.m.

A vehicle crash was reported on Bullhook Road Southeast at 3:50 a.m. today.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to five calls Thursday and on call early this morning.

Firefighters responded to a Thursday 4:47 p.m. report of a gas odor on the 900 Block of 18th Street, but no gas was detected by either the fire department or NorthWestern Energy.

Firefighters were called Thursday at 7:46 p.m. to a report of a fire on the 10 Block of 13th Street West, but were turned back en route after it was determined to be a false alarm.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held four cats of unknown gender, three male cats and four female cats.

The shelter also held two female and one male 8-week-old mixed-breed puppies, a male St. Bernard-mix dog, a female 18-week-old pit bull terrier puppy, one female and one male mixed-breed dogs, a female 8-month-old mixed-breed puppy, a male 14-week-old mixed-breed puppy and a female Staffordshire bull terrier dog. Another nine 12-week-old mixed-breed puppies were being held separately.
