Havre Police Department

Tayla Wren Overlie of Havre, 32, was arrested on charges of aggravated driving under the influence, driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license, obstructing a peace officer or other public servant and resisting arrest after officers stopped Tuesday at 6:04 a.m. on Fifth Street to investigate suspicious activity involving a woman running.

Someone turned in to the police station Tuesday at 8:25 a.m. a set of keys with a Dodge fob.

A Tuesday 10:35 a.m. caller at a First Street business reported a crash from earlier in the morning.

Colette Cecelia La Pointe of Fargo, North Dakota, 65, was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge after a caller on Second Street reported a woman passed out on the sidewalk at 1:26 p.m. Tuesday.

A summons was issued after a Fifth Street caller reported Tuesday at 4:10 p.m. a dog had bitten the caller's daughter. No details were provided on the charges.

A vehicle crash into a mailbox was reported on Boulevard Avenue Tuesday at 9:10 p.m.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Deputies investigated an 11:55 a.m. Tuesday report of a shoplifter at a U.S. Highway 2 West business.

Deputies investigated an assault reported Tuesday at 2:08 p.m. at a U.S. Highway 87 establishment in Box Elder.

A warrant was served at Hill County Detention Center Tuesday at 3:38 p.m., but no details on the charges were provided.

An arrest was made after deputies stopped to assist someone on U.S. Highway 87 south of Havre at 2:26 a.m. today. No details were provided on the charges.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to two calls Tuesday and two calls early this morning.

Firefighters responded to a carbon monoxide alarm in a camper on Lila Drive at 3:27 p.m. Tuesday. The alarm was a notification that the CO detectors had expired and needed to be replaced.

After responding to a fire alarm at 6:51 this morning on the 800 Block of Fourth Street, firefighters could find no smoke or fire signs so reset the alarm and cleared the scene.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held six female cats and seven male cats.

The shelter also held a male 7-month-old hound puppy, female 11-month-old mixed breed puppy, two male 9-month-old mixed-breed puppies, one male and two female mixed-breed dogs, and a male and a female 10-month-old mixed-breed puppies.
