Havre Police Department

A Sixth Street caller reported Friday at 7:44 a.m. that a vehicle had run into a house.

A sexual or violent offender registry complaint was made Friday at 1:17 p.m. at the police station.

--

A complaint Friday at 6:04 p.m. that the sewer was plugged in the alley off 11th Street was referred to Havre Public Works.

--

Someone at the police station Friday at 8:10 p.m. reported a remote alcohol monitoring device violation.

--

Officers investigated a Saturday 2:48 a.m. reported that someone hit a stop sign and a street sign at First Street and Ninth Avenue.

Officers investigated a report from a 16th Avenue caller that a door was kicked in Friday at 9:02 a.m.

Joseph Don Wetsit of Havre, 27, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant and a charge of partner or family member assault after an Eighth Street caller reported Saturday at 9:34 a.m. that a man needed to be removed.

Officers responded to a Saturday 6:01 p.m. call about a plastic bottle full of used needles found on Fourth Avenue.

--

A caller at an 11th Street West business reported Saturday at 9:29 p.m. that "someone drove off with a gas pump."

David Casper Unruh of Havre, 40, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, careless driving and driving while using an electronic communication device after a caller at a U.S. Highway 2 West business reported a pickup had crashed into a pole Sunday at 7:24 a.m.

Renee Mary Pruys of Havre, 40, was issued a summons on a criminal contempt charge after a 24-7 Sobriety Program violation was reported a the police station Sunday at 8:29 a.m.

Toni Rae Cochran of Laredo, 42, was issued a summons on a criminal contempt charge after a 24-7 Sobriety Program violation was reported a the police station Sunday at 8:29 a.m.

Andrew Thomas Karman of Allison Park, Pennsylvania, 22, was issued a summons on a shoplifting charge after a caller at a First Street business reported a non-compliant shoplifter at 3:16 p.m. Sunday.

An arrest was made during a Sunday 6:27 p.m. vehicle stop on First Street West related to a 6:18 p.m. call about a possible drunk driver headed east through town. No further information was provided on the case.

--

A caller at Pepin Park on Seventh Avenue asked Sunday at 7:28 p.m. to speak to an officer.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

An arrest was made after a caller at a U.S. Highway 2 West business reported a trespasser Friday at 1:35 p.m., but no information on charges was provided.

Rebecca Ann Fowler of Great Falls, 45, was issued a summons on charges of shoplifting and trespass to property after a caller at a U.S. Highway 2 West business reported a theft Friday at 7:34 p.m.

Shaun Head of Havre, 19, and a 17-year-old boy of Havre, were each issued a summons on charges of minor in possession and possession of dangerous drugs after a caller reported suspicious activity along the railroad tracks about a quarter-mile past Big Sandy Creek bridge Saturday at 9:24 p.m.

A caller at a U.S. Highway 2 West business asked Sunday at 4:16 p.m. for assistance after being harassed.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to five calls Friday, seven calls Saturday, three calls Sunday and two this morning.

Firefighters responded to a gas smell on the 700 Block of Sixth Street Friday.

--

Firefighters and NorthWestern Energy responded to a Friday 3:17 p.m. report that a gas meter had been run into and was leaking. The fire crew stayed on scene to assist.

--

A brush fire was reported started at 9:46 p.m. on the 3700 Block of U.S. Highway 2 East, but it was contained to a 2 by 2 foot area before the fire crew arrived.

--

To ensure safety on scene, firefighters accompanied an ambulance Sunday at 7:26 a.m. to the 1900 Block of Highway 2 West where a vehicle had struck a pole. No hazards were found and the fire crew cleared the scene.

Havre Animal Shelter

The shelter this morning held three 6-week-old kittens, one 8-week-old kitten and one 11-week-old kitten all of unknown gender, seven female cats, one female 21-week-old kitten and three male cats. A male and a female 21-week-old kittens, a male 12-week-old kitten and a male 13-week-old kitten were being held separately.

The shelter also held three female and two male 8-week-old puppies, a female 16-week-old puppy, a male 7-month old puppy, a male 10-month-old puppy, and a male and a female 11-month-old puppies.
