As September dawns, the high school volleyball season will really pick up steam now. And it started last week, with a slew of contests.

Last Tuesday saw Fort Benton defeat Chester-Joplin-Inverness in a District 7C match, by scores of 25-18, 25-17 and 25-19. Tatum Hull had a huge match for the Hawks, but it wasn't enough for CJI to overcome.

North Star also defeated Big Sandy on Tuesday night, but the Pioneers put up a great fight. In a close battle, the Knights prevailed by scores of 25-23, 24-26, 25-14 and 26-24. Kira King had eight kills for the Knights, and Rainee Watson tallied 20 ass...
